They call her Polaah Taylor here in the Kingdom. She's one of the Thai actresses I know, I guess it's easy to remember since she does not have those complicated, tongue-twister and long Thai names.
Traveling for work is not fun.
Well, actually it is fun to talk with colleagues.
That's why I totally forgot about Edison Chen's Talk Asia interview at 8:30pm tonight.
But I read the advancer on the flight this morning on The Straits Times.
Among the things he said was he had to travel around HK in a trunk of the taxi.
Weishenme????!!!! Can he just wear a helmet or something? Why need to take it to the extreme?
I mean... in the bloody trunk of a taxi?! Doesn't he have a car to take him around where it's safer?
I can understand the "five days of darkness" when he had drapes closed all the time.
Or that he didn't know what to say to the girls.
I also agree that he was a victim in all these, although less than the girls.
But it was consensual and it was meant to be private. Perversion... that's a personal issue.
As to whether he should be accepted in his comeback... frankly, between him and Gillian Cheung, I'd rather have him. At least this guy did not have pretensions of being nice and decent and all. He's always been the bad guy. Whereas Gillian had this grand cover-up of being virginal and innocent. Not that I bought it anyway in the first place.
I love this couple. Now they're not just for reel, but for real as well.
When I first heard they were going out four years ago, I was inexplicably thrilled. I say "inexplicably" because I'm not a fan of either. But I love seeing couples who obviously are a perfect fit and these two certainly are; they also bring out the best in each other. So finally, they tied the knot. At bloody seven o'clock in the morning? What a way to beat the paps and outscoop the press!
Says SMAP member Tsuyoshi Kusanagi when arrested by police last Wednesday at a Tokyo park for public indecency:
"what's wrong with being naked?"
Zhende! Give the guy a break, the temperature is breaking the mercury, he just wants to be cool.
No... this is not Tsuyoshi:
But it looks very summery to me... ah the beach! Though I could not imagine going there with the unbearable heat.
This Monday, the 27th is supposed to be the hottest day this summer here in Bangkok.
Maybe we'll see more Tsuyoshis in the Kingdom.
Behold a new low in Philippine politics.
Puhleeezzzz, I wasn't born yesterday.
As JV said, it's OK na gumimik. As long as you don't criticise those others who do the same. And what, when it's your turn to resort to tricks like this, you think yours is more acceptable, more believable? What makes you different from the other politicians? I haven't even seen this guy fight for any advocacy... palengke my a$$. His gimmicks belong to the palengkes indeed. Proposal on national TV, a rose and a song? Kasuka!
OI MGA PINOY, WAG MAGPADALA SA MGA GIMIK NA GANITO!!!
A year after the Edison Chen scandal first broke out... investigation is ongoing, there are death threats on Edi (that have prevented him from returning to Hong Kong) and Gillian Chung is preparing for a comeback (still trying to sell her virginal, big-eyed look... rolls eyes). Cecilia Cheung was the first to grant an interview about the scandal, talking in her characteristic feisty manner on what she and her family have been through. But who I really admire in all the hoohah over the scandal? Nicholas Tse, HK's resident bad boy no less and Ceci's husband. Ah Boy & Ah Girl's story is turning out to be one love story that I thought I'd only see in dramas. The way Nic talks about what his wife had been through and his commitment to her, how he recalled the night he first learned about the nude photos, woah. Stuffs riveting dramas are made of.
"I've known her for so long, do you think I am unaware of her personality and what she has done in the past? When I kneeled down before her to propose then, I told myself: Nic, you are such a male chauvinist; since you are sure you want to propose today, you have to accept her past, be it good or bad. On the day the scandal broke out, I reminded myself again that I have to support her. So I told her: It is ok, I'm here for you; don't cry, everything will be fine."
And when I got to this line, I got teary eyed: "I can only silently support her in my heart. I will not be talking about this scandal ever again because it has passed. You think I don't have my own past history? I don't have flaws? Perhaps I have more than her. It is meaningless to keep talking about the past when we are moving forward."
I'm not a fan of Nic or Ceci but I admire them for standing by each other the past year. Tough love. Makes me sigh.
After Korea, China is next to do a remake of Hana Yori Dango and they're calling it... Meteor Rain. Already, the F4 cast are being bashed by fans as the fugliest of the lot. See for yourself here. I have one word: baduy. And if that's not enough, there's another report that the Philippines is also planning its own remake. This is the first time I came across this news so I have no idea if this is even true. And the cast? Oh no, please no.
I have been holding my tongue to comment on the hoohah over DingdongDantes and MarianRivera because I felt they're not worth it. But I don't want to hold my peace anymore especially after reading this from Ricky Lo's column today.
It's so cheap how they got together.
It's so cheap how they try to titillate their fans.
It's so cheap how they hurt other people.
I'm no Karylle fan but I feel for her while at the same time glad she's gotten rid of DD who doesn't look as yummy as when he was starting out. I mean, what's wrong with him? And what's wrong with the eyes of those people who would vote him as No. 3 sexiest male on E! Live? He looks old! I read someone pointing out before that he looks bungi or like an old man without teeth when he smiles.
On the one hand, maybe they deserve each other. She's cheap (including her endorsement fees). He's cheap. Well, they've got a bargain in each other.
