I wanna watch!
Japan marks Seijin Shiki every second Monday of January... otherwise known as the Coming-of-Age ceremony when girls aged 20 deck out in their loveliest winter kimonos to celebrate their passage to adulthood (20 being the age of majority in Japan). Kimono and snow... perfect combo.

Before I leave for a trip, I buy myself new shoes. Not exactly everytime... but lately, I've been feeling sorry for my Lacoste casuals because the pair is so worn out and it seems the style was just a one-off (it's a cross between a Maryjane and pointed ballerina with leather edgings and velcro straps). It's my favourite pair, I wear it to work almost everyday, on weekends and sometimes, even when I attend formal functions. I know it's not advisable to wear new shoes while on a trip because they might end up hurting your feet. But then isn't that the best way to break them in too? I know my logic doesn't sound...well, sound. But anyway, over the weekend, I found this pair of black Clarks (the one in the photo is just an approximation, it's not the actual style). It's part of their Air Active line so the shoes are made for walking. It's a cross between a Maryjane and ballerina, again. I just realised I don't like shoes that expose my toes. They make me feel icky and dusty at the end of the day.
I don't know exactly how long that train is but she needed someone to hold it up for her. Kelly Chen, who recently got married, is one of the few brushes I had with celebrity (I have more near-brushes than I could count including Lea Salonga who was in town for her Cinderella promo blitz except that I only knew about it the day after when I saw her photo on the papers; that's what I get for being too absorbed in BB's world). The Kelly encounter was actually memorable because of my verbal diarrhoea. I was interviewing her in her dressing room at the 2006 Asia Song Festival in Gwangju (while Arashi lounged in a tightly guarded room I suppose) when I suddenly mentioned that I loved Infernal Affairs. "But only the first one. I didn't like 2 and 3." She gave me a puzzled look and I should have taken it from there as she asked why. "It was just so... over the top. Not as good as the first. Part 3 was even unnecessary." When I told Kaytee about it, she gasped in horror. "But her role was bigger in 2 and 3!" I was just glad she didn't have me kicked out of her dressing room.
A bracelet has tightened the impossibility for a Double J reconciliation. This is the offending bracelet.
The bracelet had several spin-offs over the years and the latest is the Cartier love charity bracelet made of knotted silk cord with white and pink gold rings. The cords come in different colors, depending on the charity you want to support. I like (a girl can dream, right?).
What is love? 'Tis not hereafter;
Present mirth has present laughter;
What's to come is still unsure.
In delay there lies no plenty,
Then come and kiss me sweet and twenty;
Youth's a stuff will not endure.

First of all, STOP STARING. that's reserved for Cheng Lin's eyes.
The half of my OTP appeared at Taiwan's GoldenMelodyAwards over the weekend dressed in Chanel from head to toe. But what caught my eye were the accessories she was wearing. Nice! I like.
According to reports, she was judged top of the top 10 best dressed. The fashionista judges say she has grown up. No, I say she has just found inspiration in someone who used to be a model before becoming an actor. What better way to learn than get it from someone who used to walk the catwalk? (Although he was a fashion disaster in last year's GoldenHorse hahaha.)
